Ozgener Family Cigars
Ozgener Family Cigars is a brand-new brand; however it comes from a cigar industry veteran. Coming from the mind of Tim Ozgener, the former head of CAO cigars. Ozgener sold CAO to General Cigar back in 2010 and has been relatively removed from the industry since. That time has seized, and he is back and better than ever with two new cigars, Bosphorus and Pi Synthesia.
Back before boutique brands had a label, CAO was ingrained in every cigar enthusiast. Ozgener helped run CAO with his father, along with a handful of crucial members who left after the 2010 sale. Most of who started their own companies.
Bosphorus is their first release under the new name. It is named after the river that divides Europe and Asia, quite a prominent landmark. It uses a hearty Ecuadorian Sumatran wrapper, with the unique addition of a double binder, with an Ecuadorian Connecticut and Nicaraguan leaves from the Jalapan growing region. Filled with Nicaraguan tobacco from Esteli, Jalapa, and Ometepe. This creates a wonderfully unique and bold cigar. It is a must-try and something all old-school CAO fans should rejoice.
Pi Synthesia is their first limited production cigar, that pays tribute to an art series created by Cano Ozgener. It has yet to be released, so keep your eyes peeled for its release!
