Daikoku is proudly made by Victor Calvo, a Nicaraguan cigar manufacturer from Esteli. You can count on a quality experience, as Calvo has decades in the industry to back up his craft. Daikoku uses the finest tobacco to create a medium-bodied cigar unlike any Room101 has made before. Adorned in Matt Booth’s famous paper wrapping, Daikoku wears the mask of an ultra-premium cigar while only costing you $12 per stick. Backed by exceptional construction and a flavor profile that will leave you pondering its complexities, Daikoku will shock you and your comrades with its affordable price tag. Underneath the beautiful packaging, you will find a smooth cappuccino-colored Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf that sets the tone for this flavorful blend. Under the wrapper, you will find a Nicaraguan Corojo ‘99 binder, finished with Viso Esteli and Jalapan fillers from the same country.
At first light, you will be greeted by notes of coffee with cream, a sweetness that resembles fortune cookies, and a mild black pepper on the nose. I have had the opportunity to try this cigar. Highly recommend it, if you can find one. Has become one of my favorites.
