2020 Luxury Cigar Club Top 5 - #4 Warped Flor Del Valle Sky Flower Limited Edition

2020 Luxury Cigar Club Top 5

Many publications, shops, businesses, and clubs are announcing some version of their top 10, 20, or 25 cigars of the year, and we figured we would voice our opinions, and create our own list as well. The Luxury Cigar Club team has spent the last few weeks debating the top 5 cigars released in 2020, and somehow, managed to come to an agreement!

We based our choices on the following metrics:

  •       Construction
  •       Consistency
  •       Flavor
  •       Released in 2020

We hope you enjoy our selection, and be sure to watch for the sampler!

#4 Warped Flor Del Valle Sky Flower Limited Edition

Vitola: 7X40

Wrapper: Nicaragua

Binder: Nicaragua

Filler: Nicaragua

MSRP: $16

Flor De Valle was originally released in 2014, and captured the cigar world's attention with the intricate, old world artwork and a distinctive cubanesque style. Warped Sky Flower has been made at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua.

The 2020 Limited edition keeps the same principles, and is still a Nicaraguan puro made of 100% Aganorsa leaf, featuring a Jalapa Corojo 99 wrapper over dual binders (Corojo '99 and Criollo '98), but they added a Medio Tiempo leaf that only grows in less than 10% of tobacco plants, and is know for adding unique strength, and flavor.

The Sky Flower lancero was teased by warped for months, before there was any official information released, only building anticipation when pictures of the cigars showed up on Kyle Gellis’ social media.

Providing a luscious, medium bodied experience and exceptional quality it is no surprise this cigar has wound up on our list. We were extremely excited to hear that Warped made this year's ultra limited batch in our favorite vitola, and they did not disappoint!  When enjoying this stick, expect notes of coffee, pepper, and cream, to be followed up with light vanilla sweetness.
