Ledger Series Vol. I marks the debut release in Fine Tobacco Club’s collaborative series, created alongside Reinier Lorenzo of HVC Cigars. This 5.5x50 Robusto Extra is crafted with a beautiful Ecuadorian Habano 92 wrapper over a Nicaraguan Corojo binder and a core of aged Nicaraguan fillers, all rested for more than two years to enhance balance and complexity.

From the first draw, the cigar delivers an inviting combination of baking spices and toasted cedar, gradually layered with tasteful pepper and subtle earthy undertones. As the smoke develops, a creamy texture emerges on the finish, smoothing the spice and creating a refined medium-plus experience that remains balanced from start to finish.

The construction and draw are excellent, allowing each flavor transition to shine while showcasing the blending precision that HVC is known for. As the first release in the Ledger Series, Fine Tobacco Club’s ongoing collaborations with world-class cigar makers, Vol. I sets a strong foundation with a nuanced profile that feels both classic and distinctive.

About The Ledger Series

Founded in 2011 by Matthias Clock, Fine Tobacco Club began as a small gathering of New York City cigar enthusiasts and has since grown into the largest regularly meeting cigar community in the United States. Its mission: to preserve and encourage the art and enjoyment of fine tobacco. Over nearly 15 years, the group has hosted hundreds of events, from summer rooftop pairings and live jazz tastings to private educational events with the industry’s most respected makers.

That same passion for excellence now takes form in the Ledger Series, a carefully selected line of collaborations with world-class brands and factories. Each entry in the Ledger Series is a wholly unique expression of flavor, reflective of the distinct character of its creator.

Ledger Series Vol. 1 marks the debut collaboration between Fine Tobacco Club and Reinier Lorenzo of HVC Cigars.

This limited release of 5,000 cigars was crafted and extra-aged at Fábrica de Tabacos HVC in Estelí, Nicaragua, and represents the culmination of years of community feedback and consideration.

The 5½ x 50 Robusto Extra utilizes an Ecuadorian Habano ’92 wrapper, a Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 binder, and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos aged more than two years. The result is a medium-bodied, medium-strength cigar characterized by balanced strength and a profile evenly split between sweet baking spices, cream, dry cedar, and dashes of black pepper.
