Gellis wasn't born into the industry — he came to love it through his personal experiences, fondly recalling picking out his father's cigars and listening to him explain flavors and profiles. In his early twenties he decided to turn his love for cigars into a profession. His quest led him to El Titan de Bronze in Little Havana, Miami, and later to Casa Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua. One of the most distinguishing aspects of Warped Cigars is its grip on the traditional Cuban entubado rolling style — each tobacco leaf rolled into a tube instead of folded, allowing better airflow and more complex flavors. Gellis's collaboration with Casa Fernandez opened the gates to world-renowned Aganorsa tobacco. Much of Warped's portfolio uses 100% Aganorsa tobacco from Nicaragua's volcanic soils, known for its unique sweetness and complex flavors. Crowd favorites include Sky Flower — a limited edition cigar known for complexity and nuanced flavors of cream, cedar, and subtle floral notes — and La Hacienda, offering a medium-bodied smoke with a perfect balance of spice, fruit, and nuttiness.
