El Mago's James Avenue line arrives in four expressions this July, each a tribute from founder Nick Fusco to his late grandparents — the Sumatra sits squarely at the heart of the lineup.

Produced at MGE Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua, the James Avenue Sumatra wraps a Sumatra seed leaf over a Corojo binder and Nicaraguan fillers in a 6 x 54 box-pressed Toro. Notes of toasted cedar, light earth, cream, and gentle spice build gradually from the first third, with a clean and satisfying finish. Medium in strength — the most broadly balanced of the four blends and an excellent introduction to the James Avenue line.
