Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Sobremesa Tapa Negra Corona Gorda 5-pack at Luxury Cigar Club

A new two-tone expression joins the Sobremesa family, capping the top inch of each cigar with a Nicaraguan Sun Grown wrapper for a dramatic visual effect and a concentrated burst of flavor on the first draws.

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut-Seed G2BW with a Nicaraguan Sun Grown cap
Binder: Mexican Matacapan Negro de Temporal
Filler: Nicaraguan (Condega, Pueblo Nuevo Criollo, La Joya Esteli, ASP Esteli Ligero)
Strength: Medium-plus
Vitolas: Corona Gorda (5.625x48) and Toro (6x52)
Price: 5-packs from $82.90; boxes of 13 from $215.53
Ships: Early July

Rolled at Joya de Nicaragua in Esteli, it opens with black pepper and cedar from the Sun Grown cap before easing into creamier ground — toasted almond, white pepper, and a smooth Connecticut sweetness on the finish. The capping technique traces back to Steve Saka's late-1990s work on La Especion, making this as much a personal statement as a technical one.
