Plasencia has done the impossible. Never was it thought possible to create a wrapper leaf out of the hugely sought-after Ometepe tobacco found on this volcanic island in Nicaragua. Ometepe is a very full-bodied tobacco leaf that is often used as a filler leaf, as it was extremely expensive and complicated to cultivate into Wrapper-grade tobacco. Leave it to the Plasencia's to execute this impressive feat. 

History is being made with this cigar; think back to the 1990s when Cuba was the only "worthwhile" tobacco; families like Padron and the Fuente's set out to prove that regions like the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua were capable of growing exceptional tobacco, more notably full-bodied tobacco. 

Alma Del Fuego was one of the first cigars on the market to feature Ometepe tobacco, so it is only fitting that their Ometepe-wrapped cigar bears the same name. However, this cigar is a limited edition release and will be extremely hard to find throughout the years due to how hard it is to source the wrapper leaf.
