Powstanie, a brand built by the team at Crowned Heads and produced at Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, has developed a reputation for crafting some of the most visually striking and technically demanding cigars in the premium market. The SBC Series, short for Surrounded by Champions, is Powstanie’s quasi biennial limited edition, a release that arrives every two years, dedicated to the people who have helped make the brand what it is.

Launched in 2016, every SBC release shares two defining characteristics: a 5½ x 46 Corona Gorda format and an offset barber pole wrapper construction that gives each cigar its immediately recognizable visual identity. While the format remains constant, the blend evolves with each release, and SBC 26 marks a first for the series.

For the first time in SBC history, Dominican tobacco has been incorporated into the blend. The Dominican contribution is piloto mejorado ligero, a highly prized leaf used in the filler alongside three Nicaraguan tobaccos from the 2021 crop. The offset barber pole pairs an Ecuadorian Habano with a Brazilian leaf, while a Mexican San Andrés binder adds structure, body, and the dark, earthy character that the series is known for. The result is a full bodied, complex smoke with notes of dark earth, leather, cedar, espresso, and a natural sweetness from the Brazilian wrapper component.

Each box includes a personal message from Powstanie recognizing the champions who have surrounded and supported the brand. Limited to 10,000 cigars total, 500 boxes of 20.
