La Flor Dominicana is one of the most celebrated boutique cigar brands in the Dominican Republic. Founded by Litto Gomez and now led by his son Tony Gomez, LFD grows all of its tobacco on the family's own farms in La Canela, Dominican Republic, one of the finest tobacco growing regions in the Caribbean. That level of vertical integration gives LFD complete control over their leaf from seed to smoke, and it shows in every blend they release.

ProjectCarbon is a brand of precision engineered carbon fiber cigar accessories, including cases, cutters, and lighters built for enthusiasts who demand the same level of craftsmanship from their accessories as they do from their cigars. When La Flor Dominicana and ProjectCarbon decided to collaborate, the result had to be worthy of both names.

The Carbon Flower takes its name from the two brands, the "Flor" of La Flor Dominicana and the "Carbon" of ProjectCarbon. The brief for the blend was specific, translate the character of carbon fiber itself into tobacco, solid, textured, and carrying an ominous presence. Tony Gomez and the LFD team answered with a 6 x 54 Toro Extra featuring a dark, oily Mexican San Andrés wrapper over Dominican binder and filler grown on the La Canela farms. The result is a bold, full bodied smoke with notes of dark earth, leather, dark chocolate, espresso, and a deep, lasting finish with a natural sweetness from the San Andrés leaf.
