Nicolas Fusco started El Mago in honor of his Grandparents, who both passed away on June 24th, 2021, when the Champlain Towers collapsed in the middle of the night. El Mago translates to “The Wizard”, inspired by the magic his grandparents created together. The name came to be by taking the first two letters of his grandparents' names, Maria and Gonzalo. Mistico is a 5x50 box pressed robusto that wears an African Cameroon capa, Ecuadorian binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Using tobacco from 6 growing regions, you can count on a flavorful experience.
