The 2026 edition went straight back into the blending lab, raided the tobacco vaults for the sweetest and most chocolatey leaf in existence, and came out the other side with something that has absolutely no right to taste this good.

GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE 2026 is a full-throttle flavor bomb. A 6 x 54 toro wrapped in a 12-year-aged San Andrés Maduro leaf with binder and filler tobaccos that remain a closely guarded secret — all aged between 5 and 13 years.

Fun facts: German Chocolate Cake was actually invented in Texas, not Germany. And June is the official German Chocolate Cake month. You’re welcome.

First light detonates with a massive blast of chocolate ganache, toasted pecan, sweet cream, and baking spices. Coffee, black pepper, and vanilla bean immediately follow. The finish adds chocolate chips and cinnamon. The retrohale delivers a whisper of spiced rum.

As it progresses, caramel, light brown sugar, white oak, and buttercream frosting come forward. The blend gets toastier, with almond, clove, and cocoa deepening across the second third.

The last third is relentless — dark chocolate, molasses, espresso, and a long, creamy, coconut-laced finish that tastes exactly like the frosting on the real thing.

Binder and filler tobaccos are undisclosed — but every leaf in this blend is aged between 5 and 13 years.
