We set out from the beginning to deliver a full strength, full flavored cigar to the likes of which we’d never done before. To accomplish this without using under fermented leaf is a challenge most don’t achieve in this industry. Three years ago, Raul Disla and I began working on what would become Siempre Rosado. Month over month we continuously challenged our comfort zones in working with tobaccos and primings outside of our own preferential boundaries. In order to get the strength just right, we chose an eighth priming Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper. This wrapper starts off a beautiful pinkish hue and after two years of meticulous fermentation becomes dark with hints of Rosado only seen when held to sunlight. With a wrapper this heavy, the binder and fillers become crucial. Combining a heavy Nicaraguan Habano binder and some exciting new US and Nicaraguan fillers, we were able to blend a cigar which we believe is unlike anything that Dapper has on the market today.
