Apostate Cigars is a company founded by Brandon Oveson and Kendrick Woolstenhulme, two Utah natives, drawing inspiration from the Greek word Apostia, meaning defection, departure revolt, or rebellion. The Initiatory is an initiation ceremony in the Mormon religion, making it a perfect namesake for their first cigar. Released back in 2020, this cigar has stood the test of time. With an Ecuadorian Sumatran wrapper, Mexican San Andres binder, and Nicaraguan fillers, this cigar sounds full-bodied, but thanks to masterful blending, it is perfectly balanced and medium-bodied.
