Don Doroteo is a company that debuted at 2022’s PCA Tradeshow in Las Vegas. El Alcalde translates to “The Mayor”, paying homage to the founder, Juan Lugo’s grandfathers “humble beginnings as a young tobacco farmer,” turned mayor of El Caimito Afuera in La Vega, Dominican Republic.

El Alcalde was rolled by La Aurora in 2008, meaning these bad boys are over 15 years old! These cigars are wrapped in an Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf, bound with another of the same leaf, and filled with leaves from Brazil and the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic. Only 3,000 of these cigars exist!
