Room101 Cigars was founded in 2009 with the intent to honor the craft and rich history of cigar making whilst applying a progressive approach to blending and product design.
Visual Inspection: Mostly smooth wrapper, much better quality than expected for the price. Slight water spotting, no obvious construction issues. Well packed with no soft spots.
Cold Draw: Very sweet, floral, slight leather, faint coffee and earth.
First Third: Wonderful on first light — sweet, floral, with coffee, earth, and leather undertones. Beautiful white ash. The retrohale is full of pepper, adding medium+ body to the experience.
Second Third: More of the same — consistent, no complaints. Burn is even, ash is strong, draw perfect.
Final Third: Slight increase in body, creaminess turns up. Still no construction or burn issues.
Final Thoughts: At under $7 this Room 101 Payback Maduro is a must smoke. Affordable, consistent, smooth, and enjoyable. If you haven’t tried it, you absolutely must.
